Who am I?

Previously a research scientist in Molecular Biophysics, then an ophthalmic surgeon, now a pastor in Bishkek and doggerelist.

I am a short, fat, bald, white, British, politically unaligned, Protestant, heterosexual, middle-aged, middle-class, middle-of-the-road, professional, bourgeois, blunt-speaking male with a sharp tongue, and an elite and privileged education.  I am also a husband, father and grandfather, a forgiven sinner and grateful follower of Jesus, whom I love, God's living Word made flesh

I love making things with words, crosswords, kind-words, writing verse, verbal games, Scrabble, photographing birds and playing chess.
